Do you want to join Greek Life? Do you have a connection to Judaism (culturally or religiously)? Do you want to have the best time of your life? Rush AEPi in the first two weeks of first semester to taste greatness.
The Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity is a true brotherhood. We believe in always trusting each other, looking out for each others’ best interests and helping ourselves to communally grow into the people we aspire to be.
Alpha Epsilon Pi has a strong grounding in academics. Upper classmen have a wide variety of majors and are willing to share their help and experiences in helping younger brothers to get as much as possible from a University of Illinois Education.
Alpha Epsilon Pi is a premier social institution on campus. We have stellar relationships with all of the sororities as well as with the campus at large. We know how to have a good time, and if you don’t, we’ll show you!
Alpha Epsilon Pi is the third largest (and fastest growing) Fraternity in the United States, and is also the largest fraternity in Canada, the United Kingdom and Israel. Brothers are very successful and well placed in many industries around the world.
Alpha Epsilon Pi has a unique system of committees and elected positions that means that every person has an opportunity to be a leader. Whether you want to work as the head of community outreach, community service or maybe even rush, there is a place for you to shine!
Alpha Epsilon Pi is one of the premier fraternities in the United States and Internationally with other chapters in the UK, Israel, and Canada. Members of AEPi are given extremely valuable benefits socially, mentally, and spiritually. In addition, AEPi has an extensive alumni network whose members serve as valuable networking contacts in the job search. Many fraternities are unfairly stereotyped as being social clubs, which haze and maintain the exclusive goal of alcohol consumption. We can assure you that this is simply not true. We welcome you to visit the house, talk to the brothers, and see for yourself. And, of course, we pledge that hazing will never be a part of our fraternity – it is against national policy and forbidden by our chapter constitution. If that’s not enough, we are more than willing to put you in touch with alumni or parents of current brothers who, in many cases, will tell you that joining AEPi was the best decision their son has made in college.
Many individuals come to campus with pre-conceived notions of what Greek life is like. Some people will say that they definitely want to join a fraternity, while others are sure that they are not going to join. Despite these notions, fraternities have a lot to offer that many don’t even realize. Being in a fraternity provides opportunities for social events, philanthropy opportunities, sports teams, and more. Being in a fraternity also provides you with a community within the larger community. You will have a connection with your brothers, and have opportunities to meet people from the other fraternities and sororities on campus. You have the potential to form lifelong friendships, and memories. You are also immediately put in contact with a network of alumni, giving you access to all sorts of opportunities in the business world. Being in a fraternity may also give you a step up for the future. Whether it is the leadership experience they gain, or the connections made for the future, there are Greeks in prominent positions in politics, entertainment, business, sports, and more. Here are just a few facts about fraternity men:
- 71% of those listed in “Who’s Who in America ” belong to a fraternity.
- Of the nation’s 50 largest corporations, 43 are headed by fraternity men.
- 85% of the Fortune 500 executives belong to a fraternity.
- 40 of 47 U.S. Supreme Court Justices since 1910 were fraternity men.

- Statistics show that fraternity members have a higher rate of graduation from college than do their non-member counterparts.
Why Rush Alpha Epsilon Pi?
The Mission Statement of Alpha Epsilon Pi states “Alpha Epsilon Pi was founded to provide opportunities for the Jewish college man seeking the best possible college and fraternity experience. We have maintained the integrity of our purpose by strengthening our ties to the Jewish community and serving as a link between high school and career.” Alpha Epsilon Pi (AEPi) is NOT a religious organization, but rather a social organization that connects thousands of Jewish men across the country. AEPi is the only predominantly Jewish fraternity that has maintained its ties to the Jewish Community. AEPi runs trips to Israel , promotes Jewish charities, and holds ties with organizations ranging from Hillel to March of the Living. Joining AEPi gives a connection with Jewish college students across America . We have over 140 chapters, totaling over 7,000 members. While each chapter is certainly different, there is a common purpose of building Jewish leaders. In addition, AEPi men have an extraordinarily vast alumni network.
